Following the Eaton Fire, the Pasadena Unified School District and Pasadena Educational Foundation have felt an outpouring of support from near and far—including a heartwarming effort from Happy Hollow Elementary School in Wayland, Massachusetts. This spring, the fifth-grade student council at Happy Hollow organized a schoolwide fundraiser to benefit the Eaton Fire Response Fund.
From collecting donations and hosting events to writing heartfelt letters, these young students showed remarkable empathy and leadership. Pasadena is deeply thankful for their kindness and for reminding us that community can stretch across the country.
