PEN and the PTA Council: A Recap of the School Board Candidate Forum

On November 3, residents in School Board Districts 2, 4, and 6 will have the opportunity to vote for their school board representative. As everyone know, elections matter. And local elections are where that starts, so it is important for each of us to vote. PEN’s vision is that everyone live in a community that supports public education; where every parent chooses to send their children to public schools. One way to help make that vision a reality is to exercise one’s right to vote for the Pasadena Unified School District school board.

There are a few ways that you can become an educated voter. PEN asked all of the candidates 7 questions and we’ve provided you with their answers. Please note, if a candidate’s answers are not included, that is because he or she didn’t respond. Additionally, PEN did not edit any of the answers nor did it make any grammatical changes.

Not sure which district you live in? Here’s PUSD’s locator map. Enter your address, click on the “Other Layers” tab, and then check “Trustee Areas.”

District 2 Candidates Mike Crowley, Jennifer Hall Lee & Wayne Hammack

District 4 Candidates Pat Cahalan and Scott Harden

District 6 Candidates Milena Albert, Crystal Czubernat, Priscilla Hernandez, and Tina Wu Fredericks
