PHS’ Orchesis Stole the Show at the 41st Annual Black History Parade!

Pasadena High School’s Dance Company Orchesis stole the show at the 41st Annual Pasadena Black History Parade! “Your Bulldogs are proud to represent the city they serve, no matter the occasion.” The girls danced freely and unabashedly in public, in the open, and that is a sign of freedom. This is important in a nation having problems with the public expression of Black life to be able to go out on the street, dance and say, ‘I love my Blackness. I love my heritage.’
