Poly Eighth Graders Explore Pasadena

Polytechnic School’s new eighth grade block, Explore Pasadena, is a breath of fresh air—literally. Students enjoy trail hikes and urban walks in the local area. Every Thursday morning the group heads out and tackles a planned route.

Among the options—a Pasadena walking tour (highlights included Pasadena Playhouse, City Hall, and the house where Albert Einstein lived when he was at Caltech), Bailey/Eaton Canyons, Henninger Flats, Peanut Lake, or Elysian Park Trail.

This is only one of the many experiences the Middle School block period offers. Read more about the program here: https://www.polytechnic.org/academics/middle-school/beyond-the-classroom.
