This week, the Poly Middle School Debate Team had an opportunity to meet with politician Andrew Yang. One of the topics for debate tournaments this year has been instituting a universal basic income, a policy that Andrew Yang campaigned on for the 2020 Democratic presidential primary. Students met with him over Zoom and posed thoughtful questions about the policy and economic concerns.
