Poly Upper School Performing Arts Debut Showing A New Brain – a Full House

Last week, the Polytechni School’s Upper School Performing Arts Department held its inaugural performances of “A New Brain” in the new Upper Garland Studio, a black box-style performance space. The small-cast musical by William Finn and James Lapine, under the direction of Tina Cocumelli and music direction by Alan Geier, made its debut showing for four nights to a full house. The flexible new space is primarily a classroom for acting and dance, outfitted to accommodate a variety of intimate performance and production styles. Most notably, this dynamic space will provide an area where students can experiment with their own written, acted, and produced work.
