Poly’s Lois Chung Co-Hosts Workshop for Educators at the Huntington Chinese Garden

On January 11, 2025, Upper School Mandarin Teacher Lois Chung will be co-hosting a workshop at the Huntington Library titled “Teacher-Made: A Hands-On Workshop for Educators, by Educators at the Huntington Chinese Garden. This workshop will provide Mandarin teachers with the opportunity to explore how to use the Huntington Chinese Garden as an educational resource, develop project ideas centered around it, and exchange inspiring ideas. Attendees will engage with the project our AP Chinese students helped design last year—”Curating the Huntington Chinese Garden”—and learn how to integrate this project into their own curriculum.

Lois has been passionate about helping teachers and students deepen their understanding of the Huntington Chinese Garden while appreciating its beauty. Through this exciting workshop, her vision is becoming a reality. We’re thrilled that Lois continues her professional development by creating community-wide learning opportunities for fellow teachers.

The event is available for registration here with priority to current K-12 Chinese teachers in school settings.
