Polytechnic School: California Interscholastic Federation Announces the 2020-2021 Sports Calendar

The California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) released a memo and the sports calendar for the 2020-2021 season. Due to unforeseen obstacles with COVID-19, CIF has announced that the high school sports season won’t begin until December. Please see the full announcement here.

One of the biggest changes to high school sports is that the traditional three seasons of sports will be combined into two seasons starting in December. Some sports will overlap given this new timeline.

The Poly Athletics department has sent this Google Form to Upper School students to ascertain whether they are interested in playing sports when practice resumes. If you are a parent or guardian of an Upper School student, please encourage them to fill out the form by Monday, July 27. This will allow Athletics to get a better picture of how many students will be interested in participating in sports in the new two-season format.
