Polytechnic School Girls Soccer Competes in Best in the West

As campus quiets down for winter break, the girls Varsity soccer team gears up for their second weekend of competition in the Best in the West Winter Classic. Last weekend, the team played in their opening round of games for the tournament facing Woodbridge High School and Calvary Chapel High School from Santa Ana. The first matchup against Woodbridge High School was tough as they dropped the game 0-2.

The girls bounced back against Calvary Chapel, defeating them 2-1 and placing them as the second-seeded team in their pool. Play continues on Saturday, Dec. 21, at Paramount High School, where they will face local opponent Arcadia High School. Depending on the result of that game, the Panthers will play again at 2 p.m. Venue and opponent will be determined after the results are in. Check out the athletic calendar for details and directions.
