Polytechnic School’s Voces Book Club: Junot Diaz’s “The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao”

Please mark your calendars for the next Voces Book Club on Thursday, October 22, 7:00-8:00 p.m. via Zoom. Join the Poly Voces community (adults only, please) for an evening of community building and engaging discussion. The Pulitzer-Prize winning The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Dominican-American author Junot Díaz will be discussed.

“Díaz immerses us in the tumultuous life of Oscar and the history of the family at large, rendering with genuine warmth and dazzling energy, humor, and insight the Dominican-American experience, and, ultimately, the endless human capacity to persevere in the face of heartbreak and loss. A true literary triumph, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao confirms Junot Díaz as one of the best and most exciting voices of our time.” –Goodreads
