PUSD and Pasadena Playhouse Announce “Les Misérables” as 2027 All Star Musical

“Do you hear the people sing?” The answer was “yes!” as Pasadena Unified School District and the Pasadena Playhouse announced that the 2027 Pasadena All Star Musical will be “Les Misérables”, continuing a partnership that gives PUSD students the opportunity to work alongside theater professionals in all aspects of production. The program provides students with a professional-level performing arts experience.

The announcement was made during a special event celebrating the 2025 company of Hadestown: Teen Edition. Auditions for 9-12 grade student actors, pit orchestra, and technical crew members will take place this October, with performances scheduled for February 17-21, 2027.

The annual All Star Musical program has become a celebrated tradition that highlights the creativity, talent, and dedication of students across the district. Community members, families, and theater supporters are expected to once again fill the theater in support of these young performers and production teams.
