PUSD: Join the Puente Project



Pasadena Unified invites the Class of 2025 (current 8th Grade Students) to join the Puente Project. This is an opportunity to apply to the Puente Program. Puente’s Mission is to increase the number of educationally underrepresented students who enroll in four year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors for future generations.

How Does Puente Benefit Students?

• Read & write about topics that are relevant to your community
• Self-empowerment through academics and community service
• Puente is your 9th & 10th grade English course

Puente is Open to ALL Students. See your school counselor to apply! Puente is recognized by All Universities.

About the Puente Project

The Puente Project is a national award-winning program that has improved the college-going rate of tens of thousands of California’s educationally underrepresented students since 1981. Its mission is to increase the number of educationally underrepresented students who enroll in four-year colleges and universities, earn college degrees and return to the community as mentors and leaders to future generations. The program is interdisciplinary in approach, with writing, counseling and mentoring components.
