PUSD Strengthens Community Partnerships Through First Small Business and Operations Training Event

Pasadena Unified School District recently hosted its inaugural Small Business and Maintenance and Operations Training Event at John Muir High School Early College Magnet, and by all accounts, it was a tremendous success. Over breakfast and great conversation, local business owners and our Maintenance and Operations team came together for a morning packed with real information and even better connections.

Throughout the day, attendees got a firsthand look at how to work with PUSD, from navigating our bidding and procurement processes to connecting with prime contractors and learning more about our Bond Program and Community Workforce Agreement. Our maintenance and operations team also took part in hands-on training designed to sharpen skills and strengthen the crews that keep our schools safe, clean, and running every single day.

The energy at the event was exactly what this program is about – relationships, transparency, and making sure local businesses have a real seat at the table. Everyone left informed, connected, and ready to get to work. This was the first amazing event, and we look forward to many more.
