PUSD Students’ Leadership at National Conference

Five Pasadena Unified School District high school students recently demonstrated outstanding leadership by presenting a panel at a national conference held in Los Angeles. Hosted at the California Endowment, the gathering brought together students, educators, and education leaders from across the country to discuss student voice, equity, and the future of education.

During the conference, the students led a session titled “Student Voices in Policy: The Past, the Present, and the Future.” Their presentation highlighted the impactful work of PUSD’s Student Think Tank, a student-led initiative dedicated to advocating for meaningful student representation in district decision-making. They shared how their efforts helped pave the way for the creation of the Student Assembly and Council – platforms designed to ensure that student perspectives are included in Board of Education discussions and policies.
