PUSD Students Unite for Kindness Week Across the District

Students across the Pasadena Unified School District are taking part in Kindness Week, observed January 26–30, as a districtwide effort to promote compassion, inclusion, and positive connections on campus. Throughout the week, students and staff are engaging in thoughtfully planned acts of kindness designed to uplift one another and strengthen relationships within their school communities.

These activities encourage students to practice empathy, respect, and understanding in both small, everyday interactions and larger, schoolwide initiatives. By intentionally focusing on kindness, PUSD aims to support student mental health, enhance overall school climate, and create safe, welcoming environments where all students feel valued and supported.

Kindness Week also serves as an opportunity to address and reduce bullying by fostering a culture rooted in unity and mutual care. Through reflection, collaboration, and meaningful action, PUSD schools are reinforcing the importance of kindness as a powerful tool for building healthier, more connected learning communities – during this week and beyond.
