PUSD Teacher Named 2024 Latino Heritage Grand Marshal

Martin Dorado, a fifth grade teacher at Madison Elementary, has been named 2024 Grand Marshall of the Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade and Festival, along with José Hernandez, the astronaut and mission specialist on STS-128 Discovery. The annual parade and festival, which features PUSD schools and bands, will take place Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Mr. Dorado has been with Pasadena Unified School District since 2009. He began his career with PUSD as an Instructional Aide for Special Education, and became a teacher at Washington Elementary School in 2016. He has called Madison Elementary School home since 2018, where he is currently a fifth grade teacher. He is a proud alumnus of PUSD schools and was recently honored with a #HelpfulHonda Teacher Appreciation Award (video) and learning supplies for students.
