Ramona Convent Secondary School’s Class of ’77 held their 45th anniversary reunion on campus last weekend. To hear them talk about things they remember about their school days, you would have thought that they graduated in June. Classmates gathered from Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Arizona, as well as from Northern California and the local area.

Though the campus looks different from their school days, they enjoyed campus and museum tours, viewing the many pictures classmates had brought – and, of course – took lots more. As they talked, many of the same things the present students hear now were repeated: Ramona was a welcoming, safe, and caring place. They were like sisters; their teachers cared about them. They were well prepared for college. Serving and helping others was part of their lives, and now they are involved in their own communities and parishes helping those in need. Currently, RCSS have one student whose grandmother is an alumna from the class of ’77!
