Ready for College? A Southwestern Alumnus Shares His Tips

Listen up, seniors. Graduation is coming soon…are you ready for life beyond your comfortable high school? Do you know what to expect those first few weeks of college and are you prepared to transition and thrive in your exciting new environment?

In a video produced by Southwestern Academy, an alumnus, Michael Chen, talks about life after high school and his freshman days in the architectural program of University of Southern California.

“The biggest difference between high school and college is there is more free time, but you need better time management. No dress code, and more partytime,” beams Michael in the video.

The video also shows his latest project in his classes at USC, “a project about an observation tower in the SoCal area.”

He ends the video with an important message to all incoming freshmen. “The key to [college] success is making connections. It’s all about the connections.”
