Rep. Judy Chu Recognizes Blair’s Valedictorian and Gates Millennium Scholar Genevieve Harvey

“This Summer, I am celebrating some of the incredible youth in our area who, despite a challenging year of quarantine, pushed themselves & helped give back to our community in the process. Please join me in recognizing these local teens’ accomplishments and celebrating their future plans. First up is Genevieve Harvey.

Genevieve is a graduate and valedictorian of Blair High School. She began high school at Flintridge Preparatory and entered Blair in her junior year. Her extensive extracurricular experiences include being the Black Student Union President at Blair, Associated Student Body Treasurer, and Cross-Country Co-Captain. Genevieve was also devoted to her local community, serving on the Pasadena Central Library Teen Advisory Board for five years and volunteering at the Huntington Hospital. She was a winner of the prestigious Gates Millennium Scholarship and will be attending Vanderbilt University. Congratulations Genevieve!
