Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Christian School 8th Grade Students Participates in LA County National History Day Competition



Sahag-Mesrob Armenian Christian School 8th grade students participated in the Los Angeles County National History Day competition on March 12 at Azusa Pacific University for the first time under the Leadership of their teacher Mrs. Mary Tascian-Williams. The Following students were awarded:

Joseph Atme was chosen as a Finalist for his exhibition about “Communism in Russian during World War II”. Joseph placed First Alternative for Junior Individual Exhibit and is the Runner up to participate in the State Competition in Rockland, Californis in May.

Isabelle Mazmanian received the Dr. and Mrs. Ruben Zepeda Humanitarian Award for her Exhibition Titled “A Time for Change: Civil Rights Movement”. This award recognizes students who research people or events that made a significant change in society that helped improve the lives of others.

Marianne Sahagian was chosen as a Finalist for her exhibition about “Women’s Rights”.
