San Marino Boys Water Polo Defeats Walnut, 13-5

San Marino High School’s Varsity Boys Water Polo team earned a decisive 13-5 victory over the Walnut High School Mustangs on Thursday, Aug. 27, continuing its early-season campaign with a strong performance.

The Titans controlled the matchup against Walnut, scoring 13 goals while limiting the Mustangs to five. The result was particularly notable given Walnut’s strong start to the season, which included wins over West Covina and San Dimas before the matchup with San Marino.

The victory gives San Marino an early boost as the Titans prepare for the remainder of the 2026-27 water polo season. The team competes in the Rio Hondo League and is scheduled for a 13-game regular-season slate, according to MaxPreps.

The Titans’ 13-5 win over Walnut was recorded on MaxPreps as the teams opened their respective 2026-27 campaigns.
