San Marino High School Dance Department Presents “Philia and the Four Elements”

The San Marino High School Dance Department presents “Philia and the Four Elements” – a contemporary ballet- opens this week on Thursday, November 14, 2019.

Philia is a Sci-Fi fantasy based on the philosophy of Empedocles, a pre-Socrates greek philosopher. Through his teachings, he introduced the four natural elements, Air, Earth, Fire, and Water as the source of all matter. He also believed that the forces of Love (Philia) and Strife (Neikos) are in a constant battle over the elements.

The show nights and times are Thursday- Saturday, November 14th, 15th, and 16th at 7:00 p.m. at San Marino High School’s Neher Auditorium.
