San Marino High School Music Department Presents its 2022 POPS Concert



San Marino High School Music Department presents its 2022 POPS Concert on Friday, May 20, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at SMHS’ Neher Auditorium.

Performing Groups include: Concert Band, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Orchestra. Come see SMHS’ Award-winning Instrumental Groups!

Mr. Rob Folsom (SMHS Music Director) announce that there will be a very special addition to the Pops Concert tonight. A featured performance by LA Opera musicians and some of SMHS students. Nathan Wang is the composer of LA Opera’s “On Gold Mountain,” based on the book by Lisa See. He and another musician from LA Opera will be performing “Alone,” one of the scenes from the opera, ALONGSIDE some of SMHS’ student musicians and Huntington Middle School. These students’ opportunity to perform with world-class musicians (and your opportunity to listen to this performance in Neher Auditorium) is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

SMHS hope that you will come and enjoy the show! This performance will be first on the program at 7pm. Audiences are requested to arrive on time.
