San Marino High Senior Max Zhou Advances to USA Biology Olympiad National Finals



San Marino Unified School District proudly recognizes San Marino High School senior Max Zhou for qualifying for the 2026 USA Biology Olympiad National Finals, to be held this summer at Harvard University. Zhou’s selection places him among the top 20 biology students in the nation, marking an extraordinary accomplishment in academic and scientific excellence.

In addition to his achievements in biology, Zhou earned a Gold Medal at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad in Dubai, where he ranked 20th in the world among the globe’s most elite young chemists. His remarkable success across multiple STEM disciplines reflects exceptional dedication, talent, and perseverance. Following graduation, Zhou will continue his academic journey at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he is set to pursue the next chapter of an already extraordinary future in science and innovation.
