San Marino Unified Announces New Assistant Principal at San Marino High School



San Marino Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Jeff Wilson recently introduced Carlos Kassam-Clay, the new Assistant Principal at San Marino High School. Mr. Kassam-Clay has broad teaching and administrative experience both nationally and internationally and most recently was an Assistant Principal in South Pasadena Unified.

Carlos is dedicated to his Students. He recently served as an Assistant Principal for Alliance College-Ready Public Schools Jul 2017 – Jun 2018 and previous to that the American School Foundation for 4 years as Dean of Students, Assistant Principal where he trained and managed 15 novice educators in preparation for their first year in urban public schools as a Corps Member Advisor of Teach for America. Developed and led trainings on classroom management, literacy and lesson planning. Evaluated teaching performance using targeted feedback and action steps for improvement.

Kassam-Clay received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from University of California, Davis and Master of Science (M.S.) Secondary Education Training fron the University of Pennsylvania.
