Sequoyah 10th Graders Visit Sitka, Alaska

Sequoyah School welcome its 10th grade students who have just returned from Sitka, Alaska. The school can’t wait to see how they apply what they’ve learned to their Social Innovation Projects (SIP). The 10th graders studied how the UN Sustainable Development Goals are urgent and relevant to Sitka and learn to apply SIP (Social Innovation Program) methods for research, systems analysis, and changemaking in a place other than Southern California and observe cultural differences and similarities within Southeast Alaska indigenous, island communities.

Sequoyah School, 301 N. Orange Grove Blvd., Pasadena, (626) 441-2076 or visit sequoyahschool.org.
