Sequoyah School’s Bring Your Pet Day (Real or Stuffed)

Yesterday, was Sequoyah School’s Bring Your Pet (real or stuffed) to Stewardship Day at the High School. Students and teachers did not disappoint. Everyone knows how pets improves student well-being and attendance in classroom whether the classroom is physical or virtual. Students have virtual conversations about how they bring a certain type of energy into an interaction with one’s dog or any pet. Students learn about empathy, self-regulation, and escalated and de-escalated types of energy with the presence of a pet.
