Sequoyah School thanks everyone who donated to the Gryphon Ensemble Instrument Drive in support of the East LA Renaissance Academy. The outpouring of support from the Sequoyah community (current families, alumni families and friends) was truly overwhelming and far beyond our expectations. “We are so grateful.”

Due to COVID-19, Sequoyah School must wait to deliver the instruments to ELARA but this delay will allow them time to restring and restore the multitude of guitars they received.

Economically disadvantaged young people are often unable to pursue the joy of playing an instrument because they cannot afford to buy one. The Gryphon Ensemble believes music should be accessible for everyone.
