Sequoyah Sixth Grader Solves Math Problem Thousands of Miles Away

Sequoyah School’s 6th grade math student Dashiell, has been tackling open problems from nRich, a website run out of the University of Cambridge (UK). Math scholars post challenging problems without answers and ask students from around the world to find their own solutions and submit them to the site. The scholars then go through the solutions and publish the most interesting strategies. Dashiell answered the call and his strategy was published! This was a high school math problem that few were able to solve. “Well done, Dash!”
