Sequoyah Student Jackson ’22 Talks about His Book “The Donut That Roared: A Child’s Guide to Surviving an MRI”



Sequoyah School student Jackson ‘22 appeared on Good Day LA to talk about his book “The Donut That Roared: A Child’s Guide to Surviving an MRI.” Jackson was diagnosed with a deep brain tumor when he was 10 years old and has had to endure dozens MRIs over the course of treatment. His mission is to make MRIs less frightening to children and to offer support to families going through a similar experience. As part of his Social Innovation Program (SIP) project he is creating a mentorship program where children undergoing treatment are paired with big brothers or sisters. https://www.foxla.com/video/883228
