SMUSD Announces Provisional Appointment of Mrs. Jeanie Caldwell as Board President

Board President, Mrs. Nam Jack resigned from the San Marino Unified School District Board of Education effective May 16, 2022. The San Marino Unified School District Board of Education determined the vacancy would be filled through a provisional appointment process.

On June 8, 2022, the Board of Education unanimously appointed Mrs. Jeanie Caldwell to fill the vacant seat on a provisional basis and through the remainder of Mrs. Jack’s provisional term.

Unless a petition calling for a special election, containing a sufficient number of signatures, is filed in the office of the Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointment, it shall become an effective appointment.
