SMUSD Students Explore the Future of Medicine with Robotic Surgery at USC Keck Hospital

San Marino Unified School District (SMUSD) students recently attended a special seminar at USC Keck Hospital focused on the future of robotic surgery. During the visit, they explored cutting-edge surgical technology and gained hands-on experience operating a robotic system under professional guidance. This immersive opportunity offered a rare glimpse into the future of medicine and highlighted the Academy’s commitment to real-world, career-connected learning. Special thanks to School Board Member C. Joseph Chang, who helped arrange the trip and joined the principal and students for this incredible experience.
