South Pasadena High School Roadshow for 8th Graders Showcases High School Programs

Future Tigers Get a Taste of the Fun To Come

South Pasadena Middle School (SPMS) 8th graders took part in the SPHS Roadshow presented on January 25, 2023 in the middle school auditorium.

South Pasadena High School (SPHS) representatives from ASB, Pep, Athletics, Band, Choir, Dance, Drama, SkillsUSA, and Virtual Business shared snippets about their programs to give the future high schoolers a broad sense of what the school has to offer.

The SPHS Roadshow is a kickoff to the Middle School Family Night that will be held on Thursday, January 26 beginning at 6:20 p.m. on the Tiger Patio at SPHS. Families will have the opportunity to visit up to 7 different SPHS elective programs of their choice during the evening. Students will learn what these programs do, what the requirements are, and the types of activities offered, giving them time to gauge their interest level and make informed decisions prior to registration for 9th grade courses.

Students also will meet with their high school counselors in the coming weeks to discuss required and elective courses, rounding out the introduction to life as an SPHS Tiger.
