South Pasadena High School Senior Breaks Decades-old School Discus Record



South Pasadena High School congratulates senior, Nik Iwankiw, who broke a 39-year-old school record for discus last weekend at the John Godina Throws Classic held at Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks. Iwankiw is now a two-time SPHS record holder for both discus and shot put. He is the reigning CIF Southern Section Division 3 Champion in shot put and broke the 38-year-old shot put school record in 2021.

Iwankiw is headed to University of California Berkeley next year where he will compete in the PAC-12 for the Golden Bears Track and Field team.
