South Pasadena High School congratulates senior, Maya Turun, who has been selected as a 2022 Posse Foundation Scholar and plans to attend Northwestern University in the fall. The Posse Foundation annually awards four-year, full-tuition merit based scholarships to attend one of Posse’s Los Angeles partner institutions.

Applicants undergo a dynamic assessment process that reviews their leadership experience, intellectual energy, and commitment to pursuing higher education. Turun will be part of a “posse” from the Los Angeles area at Northwestern and will participate in foundation-sponsored workshops, meetings and peer collaboration groups beginning during her senior year and continuing through her college graduation.
