South Pasadena High School Student Athletes Celebrate National Signing Day



On Wednesday, February 5, 2020, South Pasadena High School (SPHS) celebrated “Signing Day” – a day when high school athletes officially announce their plans to continue competing in sports at the collegiate level. SPHS honored five senior athletes at a school-wide event held during lunch on the Tiger Patio. Two of the students have officially committed to Division I schools. Three additional students will be finalizing their commitments in the coming weeks.

Following are the two students honored who signed their letters of intent:

Gianna Beasley, Track & Field, University of California, Berkeley

Tianhao Wei, Track & Field, Columbia University

Following are the three students honored who are still finalizing their decisions:

Kevin Kang, Track & Field

Dylan Schreibfeder, Volleyball

Lucas Tailin, Track & Field
