South Pasadena High School Student Athletes Return to Training

On Monday, November 2, 2020 South Pasadena High School (SPHS) student athletes returned to conditioning and training on the high school campus. All practices follow protocols that are consistent with the LA County Department of Public Health guidelines and include outdoor training only, masks at all times, and athletes separated into pods of 12 students. Students also must complete the SPHS web-based health screening daily and provide proof of clearance before attending the practices.

At the moment, sports designated as “Season 1” have begun training. These sports include Cross Country, Football, Volleyball, and Water Polo. “Season 2” athletes—those participating in Badminton, Basketball, Baseball, Golf, Soccer, Softball, Swimming & Diving, Tennis, Track & Field, and Wrestling—may begin training in December.
