South Pasadena High School congratulates senior Isabela Salazar on being selected as one of 19 winners in an open call for photography sponsored by the nonprofit design lab Amplifier and the J. Paul Getty Museum. The competition, titled “Reconnecting with ____,” selected outstanding student artwork from more than 1,600 submissions in 13 countries. The winning photographs will be displayed as large-scale projections at the J. Paul Getty Museum from June 14 to October 16, 2022.

The artwork covered teens’ connections to friends, family, sports, hobbies, and even the prolonged isolation of the pandemic, teaching us all about their experiences and concerns during this unique moment in time.
