South Pasadena High School Students Receive Commemorative Sweatshirts

All South Pasadena High School (SPHS) students received new sweatshirts, designed by fellow student Chae Rin Lee, to kick off the spring semester and promote school spirit during distance learning. Students picked up the sweatshirts along with new books and art supplies in a COVID-safe, in-person visit to campus during the second week of January.

Principal Janet Anderson, speaking also for Assistant Principals Janet Wichman and David Speck, said, “We were looking for a way to reach out to all students and to remind them that our Tiger pride is still strong. Making a gift of Tiger sweatshirts seemed like a good way to show our students how much we miss seeing them in person. The days when students came to pick up supplies were such a highlight for us all!” Thanks to the generosity of the SPHS PTSA, SPHS staff members will also receive new sweatshirts, designed by student Julianne Wong.
