South Pasadena High School Virtual Enterprise Shines at Competition

The South Pasadena High School (SPHS) Virtual Enterprise Varsity team, “Pebbly” (a new-age spin on Gary Dahl’s classic pet rock) and Junior Varsity team, “My Meals” (customized gourmet meals delivered to your doorstep) competed at their first regional and national competitions most recently.

Sales Department students from Pebbly won seventh place out of seventy-four teams in the national Design for Delight competition sponsored by Intuit. The Pebbly Sales Department consists of Matteo Lee, Ella Jayasekera, Michelle Jee, and Devin Pearson.

The highly decorated SPHS Virtual Enterprise (veinternational.org) program has transitioned to a fully virtual curriculum and competition platform. The students are now competing in virtual trade fairs and working within a framework that allows the students to compete with teams from all over the nation.

Following are additional results from the competition:

Silver — My Meals (Sarah De La O)
