South Pasadena Middle School Students Experience Learning Mixed with Fun

SPMS Line Dancing

South Pasadena Middle School students have been hitting the books since mid-August, but they also are participating in new and fun activities during the school day. To expand a positive school climate, Principal Busick and Assistant Principal Lewis have planned lunch games, tournaments, special Friday activities with music, an all-school event in the evening of November 5, Lunch Line Fast Passes, and monthly PAWsitive Awards recognizing admirable character traits such as fairness, kindness, and trustworthiness.

During lunchtime in October, ASB helped the principals organize a coed, 7-on-7, single elimination Wiffle Ball Tournament for 18 different teams while another group of students enjoyed line dancing on the quad. The PAWsitive Award for the month of November will be Respect, and teachers will discuss what the trait looks and sounds like with their students. Awards and special events will continue throughout the remainder of the school year.
