Southwestern Academy: “We’ve Only Just Begun”

There’s something about the smell of the warm breeze hitting the orange trees, freshly dried paint, refinished golden oak floors, new clothes, and books. The sense of “new” in the air can only mean one thing, school has started, and we’ve only just begun.

Southwestern Academy prepares for its 92nd year with red and white tents set up, while smiling staff and student proctors greet new and returning students with their families. The food service crew work long hours preparing a BBQ picnic, so all arrivals can feel welcomed. The loud noises of exciting hellos and goodbyes spoken in several different languages never get old.
