SPHS Entrepreneurship Club Encourages Students to Pursue Passions
More than 50 students attended the first-ever Entrepreneurship Launchpad workshop on Saturday, April 19, 2025, receiving advice and mentorship from several successful entrepreneurs and startup founders. Created by the South Pasadena High School’s Entrepreneurship Club, the program seeks to help students turn their passions into impact by teaching future-proof skills and sharing ideas for how to run their businesses in the community.
Students from all over the Los Angeles area attended the event, representing schools from Carson to Claremont, as well as many from SPHS, SPMS, and nearby communities like San Marino, La Canada, Alhambra, and Temple City. Various entrepreneurs shared their founders’ journeys, advice, and wisdom with the attendees. The participants also engaged in ideating their own potential startups, guided by the speakers and five other mentors.
The program was organized by SPHS Entrepreneurship Club General Chair Alexa Chang; Operations Co-Chairs Eileen Chen and Maya Oniciuc; Program Co-Chairs Alan Liu, Brett Chang, and Carl Liebe; Publicity Co-Chairs Cora Kung and William Hsieh; and Finance Chair Audrey Zheng.

Entrepreneurship Launchpad’s next workshop will be held on Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at South Pasadena High School. More information and registration details may be found at https://elaunchpad.org/.
