SPHS Virtual Enterprise Team Qualifies for National Competition



The SPHS Virtual Enterprise (VE) team recently attended the Virtual Enterprise International West Coast Regional Trade Show held at California State University, San Bernardino.

More than 40 SPHS students attended, representing both SPHS Varsity and JV companies, DinoCooking and SecondBite. DinoCooking’s Chloe Moon won 1st place for Company Branding, and the Finance Plan team – Daniel Gutierrez, Madelin Rentmeester, Gavin Chow, and Dylan Bartnes – earned top 5 out of 54 schools, qualifying the team for the national Youth Business Summit in New York City on April 21-23.

The Varsity VE team also won bronze in the Saint Patrick’s Day Banner Ad, Elevator Pitch, and Trade Show Sales Pitch, headed by Chloe Moon, Rachel Yu, and Diego Loera, respectively. The Junior Varsity team SecondBite also earned accolades: Ryder Carlson won second place for Elevator Pitch, and James Mortimer-Lamb, Alejandro Urzua, Oscar Bertolina, Lucas McCollum, and Pei-chen Ng won top 5 for Company Branding. The JV Team’s sales pitch video, led by Ryder Carlson and Dylan Watanabe, won a silver-tier award.
