SPUSD’s Oliver Valcorza Honored at LA County Teacher of the Year Ceremony
South Pasadena Unified School District’s (SPUSD) 2024 Teacher of the Year, Oliver Valcorza, was honored at the Los Angeles County Teacher of the Year ceremony on September 20, 2024, at the Universal Hilton Hotel.
Each year, SPUSD acknowledges exceptional school site teachers of the year for their care, compassion, and creativity in the classroom. Representing SPUSD, Mr. Valcorza joined 69 teachers from 65 school districts in the 43rd Annual Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year competition. This event, which highlights teaching excellence and honors exemplary dedication and professional commitment, is the largest of its kind in the nation. Mr. Valcorza distinguished himself by placing among the top 25 teachers of the year in the competition.
SPUSD also extends recognition to all the 2024 SPUSD Teachers of the Year, including:
