St. Elizabeth School Junior High Presents “Bye Bye Birdie”

St. Elizabeth School hopes that everyone is planning to come see its junior high production of Bye Bye Birdie, which opens this weekend on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. and also has a matinee at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday and two evening shows next Friday and Saturday. Tickets available at the door: $10 adults and $8 children. Snack bar will be open!

This musical tells the story of rocker Conrad Birdie who has been drafted to the army. As a farewell, the rock and roll star is scheduled to sing Albert Peterson’s “One Last Kiss” and kiss a girl from Sweet Apple, Ohio live on the Ed Sullivan Show. However, Conrad’s hip-thrusting makes more than one man in town uncomfortable, many of whom attempt to stop the show from happening.
