St. Francis Freshman Robbie Arnold’s Memorable Japanese Adventure with Yonsei Basketball

This summer incoming St. Francis High School (SFHS) freshman Robbie Arnold went to Japan for a cultural experience trip with a program called Yonsei Basketball.

Robbie explained, “Yonsei is a basketball team that I tried out for. The program takes a team of 12 girls and 12 boys. However, this trip was more than just basketball. I did lots of amazing things, including a homestay experience with a family that lives in Matsue. I saw 4 different cities: Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, and Matsue.”

“Overall, this was a very fun trip and one I will remember forever, but it doesn’t end here. Next year, that same family that I stayed with will come to the US and they will stay with us for a week and we will show them American culture.”

What are you doing this summer? Any fun trips? Any service projects? St. Francis would like to feature its amazing St. Francis students in all of the amazing things that they are doing this summer.
