St. Francis’ Global Encounters Program: A Journey of Faith, Service, and Heritage in Ireland

St. Francis High School’s Global Encounters Program continues its Ireland Exchange journey in powerful and meaningful ways. Following an eye-opening visit to the Titanic Experience in Belfast and breathtaking stops along the rugged coast of Northern Ireland, the group shifted its focus to service and experiential learning in Dublin.
During their time in the capital, the Golden Knights spent a day with the Capuchin Franciscans of Ireland at the Capuchin Day Centre, living out the shared Franciscan call to compassion, humility, and solidarity with those most in need. Enriching the experience further, the group met with a historian who traced the roots of St. Francis High School to the Irish Capuchin friars, offering an inspiring reminder of the deep spiritual and historical ties that unite the school community.
The journey then continued south to Cork for the next phase of the exchange, including time at St. Francis College Rochestown. As the Golden Knights and their chaperones continue to learn, serve, and grow together, the school community is encouraged to keep them in their prayers.
