St. Francis Golden Knights Come Home to Lead and Inspire
St. Francis High School is always proud to welcome its graduates back – especially when they return to give back as counselors at the Golden Knights Sports Camp. It is a true testament to the school’s mission to see alumni thriving in college and beyond, grounded in the values of faith, brotherhood, and service.
Pictured above are two shining examples: Evan Jernegan ’21 and Kennedy Mitchell-Egbo ’24.
Evan recently graduated from Valparaiso University in Indiana, where he played four years of Division I football, earned a degree in Communications, and minored in Sports Business. This fall, he will begin a master’s program in Sports Industry Management at Georgetown University.
Kennedy just completed his first year at Bucknell University through the highly competitive Posse Program—earning a perfect 4.0 GPA. In addition to serving as a camp counselor this summer, he is also interning at Los Angeles City Hall. He is majoring in English and exploring a future in law.
The St. Francis community is honored by the continued service and leadership of alumni like Evan and Kennedy. Their return reflects the Capuchin Franciscan spirit of humble leadership and brotherhood—and makes the school proud to call them Golden Knights.
