St. Francis Golden Knights Gain Real-World Financial Insights from Alumni Experts



St. Francis welcomed guest speakers, Sean Davitt ’16 and Ryan Morrissey to campus on Tuesday afternoon. They covered a variety of topics, including: investing 101; investing, savings, inflation and compound interest; risk vs return; diversification; and their respective career paths.

Mr. Davitt began working at Morgan Stanley in 2021, working his way up from an intern in Wealth Management to his current role as an Institutional Consulting Analyst for Graystone Consulting from Morgan Stanley. Mr. Davitt’s clients include foundations, endowments, charitable trusts, non-profit organizations, faith-based organizations, hospital groups and ultra and high-net worth clients. He earned his degree in Business Administration with a Real Estate Finance Concentration from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he played Division I Football. He is a CFA Charter holder who holds the Series 7, Series 66, and life, accident, and health insurance licenses.

Mr. Morrissey started his career at Wedbush Securities where he worked in equity research and then as an analyst before transitioning to Morgan Stanely where he is currently a CFP and Financial Advisor. Mr. Morrissey earned his BA in Economics and a minor in History at Boston College. In addition, he studied at Syracuse University while abroad in Florence, Italy. Lastly, he attended the College for Financial Planning.
